The birth of the brand
The Jollying story begins with Chris Cheung, whose family has been in the travel goods manufacturing business for 31 years. Established in 1993, the factory has earned a reputation for its meticulous and efficient craftsmanship, and is trusted by many well-known travel goods brands from the US, UK, Japan and more.
Chris has been serving numerous clients and brands in the travel goods industry for many years. As a travel enthusiast who has visited many countries, he has come across numerous suitcases, but none that fully met his travel needs. Driven by this gap in needs, Chris decided to create travel goods that better fit the needs of the modern traveler. He narrowed down the elements of the perfect suitcase: practical, playful and valuable. Thus, the brand Jollying was born.

Chris has always admired the work of Hong Kong-based Italian designer Andrea Ponti, who has a knack for blending the sophistication of Western design with the simplicity of Eastern aesthetics. Chris visited Andrea to discuss design concepts and aesthetics. This meeting revealed a long-held shared vision and set the course for the creation of Jollying.
In the summer of 2019, after hard work and numerous design trials, the design team successfully launched its first folding suitcase, Pebble. Hong Kong is a vibrant city at the crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures, a place where diverse influences and rich creativity merge. Pebble debuted here and quickly caught the attention of young, dynamic customers. The folding feature was exactly what Hong Kong travelers needed. Customer feedback and suggestions are invaluable, guiding Jollying to continuously refine and improve its products. Jollying set foot in Hong Kong and is now expanding to the world.
And in 2022, Pebble won the prestigious German IF Design Award, further reinforcing its commitment to innovation.
